Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Westbrook Fern Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Minneapolis, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of constituent requests and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with permits. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Minneapolis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
