Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Harborlight Fox Insurance Group sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Detroit. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 128 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with premium billing. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
