Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (remote)

Northwind Summit Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Des Moines area. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 17 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of pipe repairs and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with treatment plant data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
