Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Pittsburgh, PA)

We are growing our team at Nova Amber Insurance Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Model the cost of customer complaints and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
