Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Omaha, NE)

Northwind Birch Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Omaha region. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of service connections and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
