Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Bright Wren Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Oakland working with agencies and riders, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
