Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Oakland, CA)

Summit Linden Civic Services provides shared administrative services to local governments around Oakland, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of public records and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with budget submissions. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
