Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Minneapolis, MN)

Cedar Timber Insurance is an insurance company in Minneapolis with claims and service teams, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Minneapolis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
