Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Kansas City, MO)

We are growing our team at Lumen Stone Transit Planning and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of fare systems and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
