Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Jackson, MS)

Silverline Maple Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Jackson, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 47 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of water quality and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with pipe repairs.
