Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Grand Rapids, MI)

Nova Mill Transit Planning Group is a transit-planning firm in Grand Rapids working with agencies and riders, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 61 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of service alerts and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
