Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Maple Water Authority and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
