Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Cedar Sparrow Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Detroit. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
