Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Westbrook Vista Markets is a Detroit retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of shrink and waste and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with supplier deliveries. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
