Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Amberfield North Water Authority and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of billing accounts and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • A relevant degree or certification.
