Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Lumen Quarry Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Detroit, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of accessibility audits and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
