Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Detroit, MI)

Northwind Sparrow Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Detroit. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of service alerts and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with ridership counts. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
