Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Summit Loom Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Des Moines, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. Collaboration between teachers and staff is strong. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of school calendars and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with learning materials. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
