Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Bright Insurance is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on budgeting and forecasting for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of claims and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • A relevant degree or certification.
