Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Charlotte, NC)

Harborlight Vale Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Charlotte area, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Charlotte. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of capital projects and recommend where to save. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with water quality.
