Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Charleston, SC)

We are growing our team at Fernwood River Water Authority and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be budgeting and forecasting. You would join a small organisation of about 101 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Model the cost of treatment plant data and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
