Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Boston, MA)

Westbrook Beacon Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on budgeting and forecasting for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of billing accounts and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
