Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Boston, MA)

Westbrook Beacon Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on budgeting and forecasting for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of treatment plant data and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
