Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Birmingham, AL)

Westbrook Kestrel Water Authority Group operates treatment plants and pipelines around Birmingham. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
