Financial Analyst - budgeting and forecasting (Anchorage, AK)

Northwind Lantern Insurance is an insurance company in Anchorage with claims and service teams. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on budgeting and forecasting. You would join a large organisation of about 796 people based in Anchorage. What you will do • Model the cost of policy renewals and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Anchorage, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
