Financial Analyst - board reporting (San Diego, CA)

We are growing our team at Bright Insurance and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be board reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 87 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Model the cost of claims and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Diego. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
