Financial Analyst - board reporting (Sacramento, CA)

Amberfield Junction Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Sacramento. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on board reporting. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of pipe repairs and recommend where to save. What we are looking for • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with meter reading. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
