Financial Analyst - board reporting (remote)

Redstone Granite Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Chicago area, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our board reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Model the cost of water quality and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
