Financial Analyst - board reporting (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Foxglove Timber Insurance Partners and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be board reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 171 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Model the cost of customer complaints and recommend where to save. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
