Financial Analyst - board reporting (New Orleans, LA)

Summit Thistle Insurance provides coverage to households and businesses around New Orleans. We are hiring a Financial Analyst to take on board reporting. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Model the cost of premium billing and recommend where to save. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with catastrophe response. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
