Financial Analyst - board reporting (Detroit, MI)

Bright Corner Water Authority is looking for a Financial Analyst. The job centres on board reporting for billing accounts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. What you will do • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Automate recurring reports so they take hours, not days. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. What we are looking for • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • A relevant degree or certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
