Financial Analyst - board reporting (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Transit Planning Group and adding a Financial Analyst whose main responsibility will be board reporting. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Model the cost of service alerts and recommend where to save. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with fare systems. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
