Financial Analyst - board reporting (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Basin Foods Group is a Des Moines food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers, and we need a Financial Analyst to lead our board reporting. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Build and update budgets and rolling forecasts with department leads. • Support pricing and investment decisions with careful analysis. • Prepare board and lender packs with clear charts. • Model the cost of sanitation schedules and recommend where to save. • Explain monthly variances in plain language for managers. What we are looking for • Two to five years in financial analysis or a similar role. • Advanced Excel skills; SQL or BI experience helps. • Comfort presenting numbers to people who are not finance specialists. Nice to have • A relevant degree or certification. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
