Facilities Coordinator - safety inspections (Birmingham, AL)

Fernwood Basin Facilities cleans and maintains buildings for schools, offices and hospitals around Birmingham. We are hiring a Facilities Coordinator to take on safety inspections. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Coordinate vendors, contractors and inspections. • Keep safety records and drills current. • Manage space, keys and moves. • Log, prioritise and follow up on maintenance requests. • Track spending on work orders and building supplies. What we are looking for • Experience in facilities, property or building operations. • Basic knowledge of building systems. • Practical, calm and organised. Nice to have • Facilities management certification. • Experience with a work-order system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
