Dispatcher - driver support (St. Louis, MO)

Fernwood Umber Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around St. Louis. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on driver support. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in St. Louis. • We reply to every applicant.
