Dispatcher - driver support (San Diego, CA)

Summit Juniper Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of San Diego, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of customer tracking. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in San Diego. • We reply to every applicant.
