Dispatcher - driver support (San Diego, CA)

Nova Fern Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of San Diego. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on driver support. You would join a small organisation of about 32 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Diego. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
