Dispatcher - driver support (San Diego, CA)

Rivermark Harbor Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around San Diego, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. You would join a small organisation of about 158 people based in San Diego. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in San Diego, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
