Dispatcher - driver support (Reno, NV)

Summit Meridian Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Reno, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. You would join a small organisation of about 185 people based in Reno. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
