Dispatcher - driver support (remote)

Fernwood Forge Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on driver support for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Coordinate with the teams handling customer tracking on changes. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of customer tracking. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
