Dispatcher - driver support (remote)

Northwind Fern Freight coordinates shipments and warehousing around Boston, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
