Dispatcher - driver support (Hartford, CT)

Northwind West Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Hartford. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on driver support. You would join a small organisation of about 20 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling landfill records on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of landfill records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
