Dispatcher - driver support (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Wren Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on driver support for claims, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling claims on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Knowledge of claims. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
