Dispatcher - driver support (Charlotte, NC)

We are growing our team at Summit Fern Freight and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be driver support. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling dock schedules on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of dock schedules. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Charlotte. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
