Dispatcher - driver support (Charleston, SC)

Cedar Orchard Freight is looking for a Dispatcher. The job centres on driver support for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 28 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of proof of delivery. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Charleston. • We reply to every applicant.
