Dispatcher - driver support (Boston, MA)

Northwind Fern Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Boston, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. We reward reliability. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of loads and lanes. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
