Dispatcher - driver support (Birmingham, AL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Bridge Freight and adding a Dispatcher whose main responsibility will be driver support. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling proof of delivery on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Track progress and update customers on timing. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Knowledge of proof of delivery. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
