Dispatcher - driver support (Birmingham, AL)

Harborlight Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Birmingham, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our driver support. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling fleet maintenance on changes. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
