Dispatcher - driver support (Albuquerque, NM)

Fernwood Harbor Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Albuquerque. We are hiring a Dispatcher to take on driver support. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Coordinate with the teams handling carrier rates on changes. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. • Calm decision-making under pressure. Nice to have • Knowledge of carrier rates. • Experience with routing software. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
