Dispatcher - daily route planning (Wichita, KS)

Harborlight Sparrow Freight moves freight for manufacturers and retailers out of Wichita, and we need a Dispatcher to lead our daily route planning. On-time is the promise and we work hard to keep it. What you will do • Track progress and update customers on timing. • Solve problems on the road such as delays, breakdowns and access issues. • Assign jobs and routes to drivers and crews. • Coordinate with the teams handling loads and lanes on changes. • Record hours and mileage accurately. What we are looking for • Calm decision-making under pressure. • Experience in dispatch, driving or scheduling. • Clear voice and good local knowledge. Nice to have • Experience with routing software. • Knowledge of loads and lanes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Wichita, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
